Short answerOpenAI's guide lists three requirements: you are the GPT's creator or a workspace owner or admin, the GPT is published, and plugins are enabled for you. If one is missing, you may not be able to migrate it.
Check these in order
- Are you the creator? Using someone else's GPT is not enough. Look under Created by me in My GPTs, or ask a workspace owner or admin.
- Is the GPT published? Drafts and unpublished edits may not be included.
- Are plugins enabled for you? If not, ask your workspace admin.
- Does your plan have it yet? OpenAI says availability and exceptions vary by plan (see the FAQ and dates).
If you still cannot migrate
Back up and rebuild elsewhere: step-by-step guide, or alternatives.
Not sure it is simple enough to do yourself?
Tell us what your GPT does, whether it uses Actions and how many files it has. We will say what will break and what a rebuild involves. The audit is free.
